This weekend we did a little house rearranging, and by “we” I mean, myself. I cleared some clutter, put away some objects that have been really good at collecting dust lately, and moved plants, books and other dust-collectors around the house in a new configuration. Cats were pleased, and got involved in everything. By “involved in everything” I mean they hung from the window panes, dipped their paws in water and raced all over the house with wet paws, chewed on cardboard boxes and drove me bonkers while I tried to package and pack a few wholesale orders.

We also by chance or accident, hosted two dinner parties, and I got to introduce our friends to my awesome nightly coughing ritual. I like to start that in the early evening hours, and continue coughing a dry, irritating cough for hours into the night. I take a break to fall asleep, but the cough rejoins me throughout the night. So fun. It just won’t end! So far I’ve been offered the following home remedies: dry spoonful of turmeric followed by a glass of water, a spoonful of honey, cracked pepper and fresh ginger, gargling with tea tree oil (BUT DON’T SWALLOW IT!), knocking back a bottle of Robitussin, gargling with salt water, spoonful of honey at bedtime, and on and on and on.

Cats love to help out! I board cats and have my own as well so I’m never short of ‘helpers’. Jobs take twice as long though! Cath
