Daily life, back on track

I never got around to writing up that big summary-processing-thinking post about Skill Exchange this week. Next week guys. Instead, I’m slowly coughing and working my way back to being all caught up on client work, house work, cat care, and you know, life. This week we’ve spent more evenings in the kitchen, making comfort meals and trying new recipes in an attempt to get back to a more normalized evening routine. We’ve been so busy this summer that we’ve slid down that slippery slope of easy meals and take out, and somehow always end up with a sink full of dishes that never ends. I’ve started operation “Stop living like dirty college students” and I really hope we can get back on track. No more thai food take out, or waking up to dirty dishes and a trail of empty tea mugs, wine glasses and coffee cups left around the house. We’re getting ourselves back together. A few favorites from this week: the rosé (above),  hot pickled lime (below), Intern’s mom’s recipe for daal and rice, and holy crap, STEAMED CLAMS.

Oh, shoot. Sorry, posted twice. Didn’t see the first one go through.
