Day two of Skill Exchange

8 Sep

Saturday
Day Two…we’re ready for you! Today is our first full day of workshops, and is bound to be busy. Most of today’s workshops are sold out, however we still have a few spaces in our Urban Chicken Network workshop at 10AM, as well as our salt workshop with Spice Hound later on in the evening. Coffee is generously provided this weekend for all of our participants by Ritual Coffee Roasters, and the event is sponsored in part by Hello! Lucky.

Kate… SO enjoyed the chicken keeping and lamp wiring workshops today! I had to come home and nap to let all the knowledge settle in. ;) Seriously though, really informative and fun! Learning how to wire a lamp felt like a revelation… this everyday thing that has always been a bit of a mystery to me and now seems so easy and creative. I can’t wait to try it! And Thomas’ chicken keeping class really covered it all. I have my coop location scouted out and really hope to make that a reality in the near future. Thanks for all your work putting these classes together. It is a FANTASTIC thing you’re doing!

Betsy, I’m so glad you enjoyed it! It has been a lot of work to bring all these pieces together, but the work has been well worth it!
