Over the (hot) weekend we invited our pals Mark and Joe over for a BBQ, and let Joe do all the dirty work. No joke. We let Joe take over the fire and cooking, (at his insistence) while the rest of us sat back and enjoyed Intern’s margaritas. Intern gets a little cranky whenever I suggest we get the baby BBQ out, so he was overjoyed to learn that our Joe likes to commandeer other people’s barbecuing work. We (Joe) grilled shrimp for tacos with avocado and corn salsa and black beans. I think next time we’ll invite Mark and Joe over for BBQ pizza.
That plate looks like my perfect summer meal. What kind of cheese is that?
It was a queso fresco from Rainbow Coop. I don’t know the name of it, but it was recommended by the cheese monger there.
