The grant proposal I wrote back in February is getting dusted off and revisited this week, because all of those far-off plans and eager ideas are finally getting a home. The proposed project is coming together, though scheduling and other details are still in the works. Next week I’ll be visiting the storefront space (!!!) where my project will come to life in the coming months. Did you hear that guys? I said STOREFRONT! I know there is a lot of work ahead of me, but in the coming weeks I’ll be able to share more about my new project, and I plan to devote some time to the project here on my blog. I am really excited for the opportunity to make these ideas come to life in a much bigger way than I have attempted before.

I spent the day yesterday packaging a wholesale order, and styling some photos for another upcoming project. MERCH in Lower Haight will now be carrying my cocktail recipe cards, in addition to a few of my gocco designs they already carry. Merch carries a really good selection of cards, jewelry, gifts and clothes– my favorite item of clothing, a waxed canvas raincoat is from Merch, and I absolutely love and wear this more than any other coat.
This week we have a workshop with Travis McConnell, who will be teaching us how to make sausage, and I’ll be releasing tickets to our workshop with chef Sharon Ardiana. Sharon will be teaching a class on making cavatelli pasta, along with a few sauces and sides. Tickets will be available on Thursday, at 10AM.

What fun news! I can’t wait to see what you have in store for your storefront — and to visit.
