I made these cookies from Smitten Kitchen this week at Anne’s insistence. Good idea, because these cookies are delicious. The Intern has been taking them to work to share with his coworkers. Greedy workers ate them all, and poor Intern didn’t save one for himself.
I’m done with the first week of my garment sewing class at CCA. Lazy old sewing habits, get out of here! So far I’ve learned 8 hand stitches, and 5 ways to hem. We’re using industrial machines in the fashion department, and I am pretty excited that we’ll soon be covering zippers and pockets, then we’ll move on to patterns, skirts, and blouses…
I think the cats will be doing a lot of this over the weekend. They are into the birds that hang on the telephone poles. I heard a whisper that the weather will be nice this weekend, which I hope means it will be nice enough for gardening and planting our new mint, sage and thyme. Happy weekend friends!
