Oh Monday

{Results of our trip to Berkeley Bowl}

Hey Monday. I’m not entirely excited for you this week. The end of school is in sight, but it has made me a little too eager for free time and sleeping in, and projects of my own. I need to refocus myself, because these last few weeks are going to be hectic. To add a little more craziness to the mix, I’m doing a little art show downtown in April, which I’ll share more about later.

This weekend we went across the bay to Bakesale Betty, at the strong urging of T&C, for the best fried chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. Actually I don’t think I’ve ever had a fried chicken sandwich before this one, but I’m pretty sure this sandwich is the best one that ever existed. Our friends B&R joined us in our adventure across the bay on Saturday, who seemed equally excited for ironing board tables and fried chicken heaven. We stood in a long line, grabbed an ironing board, and unloaded our brown bag of sandwiches… and became sandwich-centered as we ate. Spicy coleslaw, crispy not greasy chicken, slushie-lemonade… so so good.

Our adventure also included a trip to Berkeley Bowl, which lived up to the hype, and a trip to Urban Ore, which was also pretty fun. All in all, the weekend made me not want homework.
