Neighborhood Walk

Big event in the neighborhood yesterday, that I just happened upon on accident during a morning walk. The Blue Church is no more, just a pile of blocks and mattresses, wood and drywall. This little boy was much more excited than I was, so I watched him more than I watched the demolition.

My favorite still new-ish moccasins. I wore them yesterday, but not today, because today these shoes would be a soggy, miserable mess of suede. We’re experiencing typhoon-like weather today in SF… I almost forgot all about rain, since we haven’t seen any in two months.

Today the weather is horrible. Really, uncomfortably horrible. It is windy, and flooding and soggy, and I seem to have lost my Seattle-built tolerance for gray wet days. Too much! I want the sun back already! I’m cold!

This sign captures my feelings about the weather today.
